ANU College is an experienced and successful provider of English language and cultural Study Programs. We provide short courses to students from universities, academies, institutes and government departments in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
Study Tours usually involve groups receiving English language tuition plus a cultural component involving excursions to interesting tourist and educational destinations within the Canberra region. As the capital of Australia, Canberra has much to offer in terms of enriching historical, artistic and political buildings, museums and institutions such as the National Zoo and Aquarium, Parliament House, the Australian National Museum, The Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian War Memorial.
An example of a study tour might involve a group of 10 students from a medical school in China attending ANU College for 3 weeks to increase their knowledge of English Medical terminology. These type of study groups cannot be integrated into classes with other students.
- Study Tours can commence at different times of the year.
- Course content is designed to meet students’ specific needs such as the need for Academic English.
- Costs vary depending on the length of the course, choice of activities and accommodation.
Group Visits usually involve groups from universities or colleges attending the normal ELICOS program and being integrated into classes with other overseas students. Groups must start at the beginning of a module which lasts 5 weeks. Individuals will have their language level assessed at the beginning of the 5 weeks and be placed into an appropriate class.
An example of a group visit might involve 20 students from a Korean University who want to improve their general English skills to help their future job prospects.
- Students can have their English language instruction count towards their university study in their own country.
- Students have the chance to integrate with many students from around the world.
- Most students stay in homestay accommodation to enhance their experience of a different culture and improve their English language skill.
Please note that Study tour programs are not accredited by NEAS or CRICOS registered. They are not available to holders of student visas as their principle course of study.
