Professor Lachlan Blackhall is Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at The Australian National University.
Professor Blackhall was previously the Entrepreneurial Fellow and Head of ANU Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program. His research and development activities focus on supporting and accelerating the global energy transition to address the existential challenges of climate change.
Professor Blackhall joined ANU Enterprise board in April 2024.
With more than 15 years of experience in research, Lachlan also has considerable expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship, having founded or co-founded several successful start-ups. As a postgraduate student at ANU, he co-founded an entrepreneurship education program that has engaged thousands of university staff and students and catalysed the formation of numerous high-tech start-ups.
